The UBC VFM Committee has submitted its 2007-2008 media contest proposal to AMS Council. Debate, possible amendments and final approval are expected in the September 26 Council meeting (6 pm, SUB 206, open to the public).

I prefer the interpolated system, as it rewards media sources who appealed to a larger number of people, rather than a somewhat smaller group that all voted for a large reward. The only argument I see against it is that it makes the system harder to understand, with not a huge change in the final outcome.
